When we were doing things as Hardcore Crossbreed, i really, firmly believed that we could change that genre. We went in as pretentious hateful bastards, and did our own thing; Vicious noise paired with depression and sadness. Really a product of the time, but i really believe we were doing something unique. While Hardcore got slicker and tighter, our brand of generous horror hasn’t really been matched since then to my knowledge, and listening to this set reinforces that impression.

My god, it makes me want to get back into hardcore. Give it another go. Every time i make another pass into what it’s become now i get more and more depressed by it, but listening to this still-fresh 4-year-old stuff we were up to makes me think there’s still hope ;)
